I recently discovered the work of Fred Butler: a London-based fashion prop maker, stylist assistant, artist and most recently costume jewellery designer. Working on shoots for magazines such as i-D, Dazed & Confused and Amelia's magazine, she uses unconventional objects (eg. ice cream scoops!) and materials (eg. jelly!) to create a variety of wacky, ecelectic and kitsch scenarios. Commenting on her hand-made costume jewellery, Butler said "I wanted the pieces to be like a magpies collection. Like lots of little sculptures."
